The Brief
Retail brand giant Uniqlo were aiming to open their flagship store on Oxford Street, London. The store stretched over five floors, and the 12-month works programme required a team of specialist designers, contractors and suppliers to work seamlessly alongside each other.
Our Approach
To adhere to the extremely high standards required by Uniqlo, we integrated a specialist installation in tandem with other suppliers such as Househam Henderson, EM Technica and Lutron. We also re-designed and engineered a new facade lighting system, as the original design that was created by a third party wasn’t feasible.
The Solution
The flagship store is a spectacular retail space and includes cutting-edge features such as a fully addressable fire alarm system and a smart lighting system that provides maximum effect with minimal running costs. A high impact display design features over 90 mannequins rotating in sync across all five floors, and the new façade lighting makes the whole fascia of the outlet stand out.
Following on from PC on Thursday I would like to place on record my gratitude for the work carried out by 79 Group at BT Tahiti. The standard of work carried out was extremely high and the attitude of your employees on site was exemplary. Special credit should go to Leo, Chris and Jacob for their professionalism during some difficult times due to constant specification changes. They are a credit to your company and I can only see success on future projects when they are involved. I am looking forward to future projects where I will be involved with 79 Group.
